Peregrine brings in Alan O'Sullivan

Former FleishmanHillard UK head of financial services Alan O'Sullivan, also an ex-Bell Pottinger partner, has joined London and New York agency Peregrine Communications as a director. Previously a journalist at the Daily Mail and elsewhere, O'Sullivan joined Fleishman in 2010, spent two years at the agency and then joined Bell Pottinger. Peregrine, which specialises in financial services, has 26 staff.

Cedar wins airlines mag brief

International Airlines Group (IAG) has appointed content agency Cedar to oversee its owned content and media for Aer Lingus, British Airways and Iberia. Cedar already works with BA currently and will now extend its portfolio to create content and deliver owned media sales for all three airlines, including in-flight magazines and other publications. Cedar will open new offices in Dublin and Madrid to service the contract.

Mell Square hires RBH

Mell Square Shopping Centre has appointed RBH Creative Communications Agency to deliver its PR, marketing and social media. The appointment was the result of a competitive pitch process with multiple agencies by the owners of the Solihull centre, IM Properties.

Mercieca promotes Pete Calvert

Mercieca has promoted creative director Pete Calvert to its board. He sits alongside chairman Paul Mercieca, managing director Rod Taylor, PR director Gemma Oakes and others. Calvert recently worked on repositioning the London firm as an integrated agency.

Crafts Council takes on Tomorrow PR

London-based global design PR agency Tomorrow PR has been appointed by the Crafts Council, the national development agency for contemporary crafts in the UK, to support comms around COLLECT17, the leading European fair for contemporary collectible craft.
