Last chance to enter 2016 Diversity Distinction in PR Awards

First deadline for submissions to PR Council/PRWeek initiative is tomorrow, July 19 - a late entry period has been added, concluding on Tuesday, July 26.

The deadline for the sixth annual Diversity Distinction in PR Awards, presented by the PR Council in association with PRWeek, is tomorrow at 11:59pm EST.

Since 2011, these awards have honored excellence in promoting ethnic diversity within the PR sector at organizations of all types and sizes. In addition, for the first time this year, organizations are also encouraged to enter applicable work related to LGBTQ staffing initiatives.

A late entry period has been added, commencing at midnight EST on Wednesday, July 20, and concluding at 6pm EST on Tuesday, July 26.

This year’s six categories are: Best PR Firm Diversity Initiative (divided into agencies with $100 million or more in annual revenue and those with less than $100 million); Diversity Champion (one group each for agency and in-house professionals); Best In-House Diversity Initiative; and Best New Diversity Initiative – a category returning this year after debuting in 2015.

For the first time this year, Honorable Mentions will be also awarded, thus offering tangible recognition to worthy entities beyond the category winners. In addition, the entire submission process is now online, making entry more seamless than ever.

A stellar panel of jurors will judge the entries in and winners will be honored at the PR Council’s annual dinner on Wednesday, September 21, in New York City.
