A powerhouse communicator, Mónica’s professional aptitude is as big as her heart. On top of her day-to-day responsibilities leading Univision’s corporate comms, She founded the women’s leadership council, a resource group that helps advance women employees at the company.
Some of her most cherished moments and victories in communications relate to standing up and serving the community Univision represents.
Earlier this year, Univision "adopted" a middle school in the Bronx — the New Venture Community School. Mónica joined a team from Univision to work with the faculty, colleagues, and students to build the Univision media center.
As she recalled the moment the center opened, it was the joy on the faces of the principal, teachers, and students that demonstrated their success. And it was the joy of serving others that resonated in her heart.
