Yoghurt brand Onken takes on Kaper
Yogurt brand Onken has hired Kaper to handle brand and product PR. The account, previously held by 3 Monkeys, includes day-to-day press office work, creative brand building and social content. Kaper will also work with sister shop Karmarama, Onken’s creative agency, to deliver through-the-line campaigns.
Ensor is PPS partner
Newgate Communications-owned PPS Group has appointed a new partner to lead its Manchester team. Zoe Ensor joins the group from a previous role at Good Relations, having worked for Manchester Airports Group and Manchester’s Investment and Development Agency prior to that.
Argos engages Playtime PR
Home Retail Group, the owner of Argos, has hired specialist toy sector PR agency, Playtime PR, to handle campaigns relating to Argos’ toy offering in 2016. This includes activity relating to the retailer’s own toy brand, Chad Valley. Playtime will work with both Home Retail Group's in-house team and its broadcast agency Markettiers.
Centre for Ageing Better hires PR head
Later-life charity the Centre for Ageing Better has appointed Louise Ansari as director of comms. She joins from Diabetes UK where she had worked for the past five years, in roles including director of prevention of type 2 diabetes, and director of comms. She has previously worked at the British Embassy in Madrid, the Council of Europe and Lambeth Borough Council.
Marine work for ADPR
ADPR has been appointed by sail and deck hardware firm Barton Marine to promote the company's technical expertise and raise awareness of its range, as well as run its e-newsletter, Newsline.
