Masser will be based in London, but UK MD Giles Peddy told PRWeek: "The ambition is that other markets can use Dan to help in areas where he has great experience."
He will work with existing clients and on upcoming accounts, Peddy said, adding that the plan is to make corporate a "significant part" of the UK business and play a role in other markets over the coming years. Traditionally more b2b and tech focused, Lewis also extended its consumer offering last year.
Masser had been an associate director at Blue Rubicon for the past seven years, working with clients including Heathrow Airport, eBay, Halifax and McDonald’s Europe. Before that, he worked for Marks & Spencer as corporate PR manager. Masser has also worked at Hill+Knowlton Strategies with clients including De Beers, Adidas, Allied Bakeries and Splenda.
Peddy said: "We recognised a growing requirement to provide a strategic communications and reputation management capability. Dan brings us an unrivalled pedigree in corporate communications and I am delighted that he will bring this expertise to our clients and team."
Masser joins Lewis on Monday (13 June).
