INTERNATIONAL: PR revenue plummets more than 25 per cent
NEW YORK: PR revenue at Interpublic Group, which owns Weber
Shandwick, plummeted more than 25 per cent from the fourth quarter 2000
compared to the fourth quarter 2001, from £117.2m to £88.3m,
respectively. For 2001, PR revenue was down five per cent, from £432.3m in 2000 to £408.9m in 2001. PR as a per cent of revenue
fell by only one-tenth of one percentage point for the year, from 8.6
per cent to 8.5 per cent.
