Banking group MUFG hires Headland for EMEA corporate brief

Japan-based global banking group MUFG has hired Headland to handle its corporate comms across EMEA following a competitive pitch.

The agency’s brief is to work with the in-house comms team to further raise awareness of the bank, which has total assets of more than $2.4tn (£1.7tn), throughout the region. The brief will combine corporate reputation management, media relations and campaign management.

It comes as MUFG plans to expand its presence in EMEA.

Headland CEO Chris Salt said: "Clients of banks are looking for longer-term support and a suite of services to help them grow their businesses. It’s a good time for Headland to be helping MUFG to demonstrate its broadening platform."
