The biggest misconception about PR is... that it is all about who you know. That can in some cases get you a foot in the door, but they are on their own after that – PR involves a lot of hard graft.
My biggest inspiration is… I admire many people, mainly those who aren’t afraid to be themselves and ‘make it’ on their own merits. However, my biggest inspiration is my family. They taught me to have a work ethic, to be determined and to do what I love.
In five years’ time I want to be... the most important thing is to be happy. Being a ‘head of’ or ‘director of’ a large organisation would appeal to me. Political PR has always been of interest, too.
