FleishmanHillard senior vice president Cedric Vanhaver has been appointed the agency’s head of corporate communications in Beijing.
Vanhaver joined the agency’s Hong Kong office in 2010 before moving to Beijing earlier this year, taking 15 years’ industry experience with him. He is in charge of several client accounts across sectors including technology, travel and luxury.
Vanhaver has particular expertise advising big brands on media relations, crisis management and strategic messaging. He will help oversee the growing demand in reputation management work and corporate comms projects in China, for both local and international companies.
Li Hong, president of FleishmanHillard in China, said: "As China continues to develop into a world-leading economy, issues around corporate social responsibility, fair labour practices and corporate governance will continue to generate needs for strategic corporate communications work.
"With the addition Cedric to the experienced team in place, we are well-positioned to help both Chinese and international organisations build and safeguard their corporate reputation through authentic communication."
