The Philadelphia Orchestra has rejoined forces with Ruder Finn Asia for its PR and communications work.
The group became the first American orchestra to perform in mainland China in 1973. It is returning to Asia for the third year in a row on a three-week tour, including a residency in China.
The tour will be made up of concerts in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Macao, Tokyo, Osaka and Kawasaki, as well as pop-up performances, lectures and community outreach projects.
Ruder Finn is in charge of all strategic communications and media coordination before, during and after the tour. The agency also provides PR advice regarding the Chinese market and any future initiatives in China.
"It’s been a great privilege to partner with the Philadelphia Orchestra," said Jean-Michel Dumont, chairman of Ruder Finn Asia.
"The response and rapport from the audience and communities in the different cities have been tremendous."
Craig Hamilton, vice president for global initiatives and government relations at The Philadelphia Orchestra, said: "We are delighted to have retained Ruder-Finn again as the official PR agency for our annual work in people-to-people exchange between the United States and China, not the least of which is the upcoming 2016 China Residency and Tour of Asia.
"The results have been extremely helpful to the orchestra to spread the word about our many projects - and their outcomes - to our stakeholders around the globe."
