NEW YORK: Finn Partners has launched a supply chain and logistics technology team, led by Sabrina Horn, managing partner of its tech practice, and partner Casy Jones.
Horn said the practice is one of the few dedicated to supply chain and logistics issues. It has about 20 staffers and works on eight accounts.
"We designated that supply chain and logistics was a key market for us even last year. We think it's a hot market in the b-to-b space," Horn said. "It's a market that hasn’t gotten as much attention as I think it deserves."
The team is a subset of Finn’s technology practice. Jones will lead its day-to-day operations under the direction of Horn.
The firm also said this week that it won two clients that the practice is working with: Radial and AFN Logistics. The team is running comms strategy, media relations, rebranding, and other projects for Radial, formerly known as eBay Enterprise. It also won a three-month project for AFN Logistics.
"I think that AFN and Radial really saw the deep expertise we had in working with similar companies," Jones said.
Horn noted the supply chain market is complicated, with different segments and technologies that change it rapidly. She said she hopes the firm can work to identify how to best serve each of the individual pieces of the new team.
"Supply chain and logistics has been this afterthought as an industry, and now it’s moving to the forefront," Jones said.
As of the end of last year, Finn Partners had 12 offices around the globe, including eight in the U.S., and global revenue of nearly $72 million.
