Sydney-based Magnum & Co has appointed Nick Snelling as the agency’s first head of content, as part of its ongoing focus on integrated communications services.
Snelling joins from Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where he was also head of content. Before that, he was an editor at Bauer Media and former music editor of BEAT Magazine in Melbourne.
He joined the agency last month and has helped win four new pitches since joining. Snelling’s role will be to further drive Magnum’s integrated content offering.
"What Magnum have built, as a wholly independent agency with a truly progressive mind-set to PR and content, is inspiring," he said. "I’m loving the job, the people and the brands. It’s no surprise to me that clients continue to come knocking."
Michelle Hampton, Magnum’s managing director, said: "Not only will Nick continue to help us pick up more integrated work and oversee our social media offering, he’ll be taking a fresh set of eyes to our stable of leading brands, looking at ways we can continue to ramp up their content publishing.
"Also, with Nick’s film-making, directing, producing, scripting and copywriting skills, our plan is to bring a lot of our content creation in-house, allowing for tighter integration and a much more cost-effective offering for our clients."
