Foodpanda selects W Asia

Online food delivery service hands over comms planning and strategy to W Asia.

Foodpanda Singapore has hired W Asia as its communications partner following a competitive pitch.

The online food delivery company launched in Singapore in 2012, and has more than 1,000 eateries across the country in its portfolio.

It has seen a 400 percent sales jump in the past year and expanded to 24 countries worldwide.

W Asia will be in charge of a new communications strategy for foodpanda to help affirm its position in the market. A series of initiatives will also be launched to reach new customers across Singapore.

W Asia has particular expertise in the food market, advising brands including MEATliquor, Oxwell & Co and Long Chim.

"We’re really excited to be working with a local brand that has such an international success story," said Annabel Fox, managing director of W Asia.

"Not only are we looking forward to communicating foodpanda’s achievements but also collaborating with the team on some really creative ideas."
