NEW YORK: Deputy MD and EVP Erin Osher will lead Porter Novelli’s New York office as the firm searches for a replacement for outgoing MD Darlàn Monterisi.
Appointed deputy MD of the New York office about two years ago, Osher has a decade of experience at the Omnicom Group agency.
She said integration among the office staff will be key to growth and fostering innovation at the firm.
"I think we’re focused first on taking amazing care of our clients, making sure our staff and colleagues are getting awesome opportunities to learn, and then focusing on growth," Osher said. "I see our growth areas in corporate reputation, food, health, and wellness."
Monterisi is departing Porter to serve as SVP of corporate communications at CA Technologies, based at the company’s New York headquarters, effective May 9.
"[Monterisi’s] leadership style and approach will serve CA Technologies well," CEO Brad MacAfee said in an email. "We appreciate all the contributions [she] has made to Porter Novelli over the last five years and wish her the best in her new role."
Monterisi joined Porter in 2011, managing the firm’s global business for HP before she was promoted to MD in 2013. She continued to serve as the global relationship leader for HP, though Osher said Monterisi hadn’t worked on the business for a few years. The firm’s New York office continues to service the account, Osher added.
In February, MacAfee was promoted to CEO from senior partner and president of North America after former chief executive Karen van Bergen was named CEO of the newly formed Omnicom Public Relations Group, an umbrella group for the holding company’s 10 PR firms.
