Watch: Cassetteboy teams up with Privacy International to raise awareness about the Investigatory Powers Bill

A new film from video editing duo Cassetteboy, set to the tune of Every Breath You Take by The Police, takes aim at Theresa May and David Cameron in support of an anti-surveillance campaign by the human rights group Privacy International.

"If you're not worried about the Investigatory Powers Bill (aka the Snoopers’ Charter), you don't know enough about it," Cassetteboy says on its Facebook page, before encouraging followers to visit Privacy International's website and join the campaign against the Government's snooping powers.

The video has so far had more than 181,000 views on YouTube and is proving extremely popular on Facebook, with more than 510,000 views at the time of writing.

According to, the bill makes provisions around "interception of communications, equipment interference and the acquisition and retention of communications data, bulk personal datasets and other information". It enters committee stage in the House of Commons tomorrow (12 April).
