Sony hired Shine in 2011 to handle comms across 99 territories throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania – including markets such as the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Shine was also handed the global PR brief for Sony PlayStation business.
In January Shine was bought by The Academy, becoming Shine @ The Academy.
Fever was brought in to manage Sony's UK account in 2013 and launch the PlayStation 4. At the time, the agency took over from John Doe.
Sony confirmed the EMEA PR account was under review but declined to comment further.
