Leave.EU's video was first published on YouTube and Facebook last week - it had been viewed more than 470,000 times on Facebook, but fewer than 400 times on YouTube as this story went to press.
The campaign group, one of the more prominent Brexit groups, has now brought the video to the attention of national media.
The video tells viewers that "leaving the EU would rescue communities such as fishing and steel from policies that serve the EU, not the UK" and that leaving would "save billions of pounds each year that can be reinvested in your local hospitals, schools, housing and public services, and will save money on your weekly shop too". The video begins and finishes with footage of a young family, and urges viewers to "seal a more prosperous and safer future for you and those you care about most".
The UK goes to the polls on 23 June.
