Luxury liner operator Cunard has hired Burson-Marsteller as its PR partner in China.
The travel company operates the renowned luxury cruise ships Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.
Burson Marsteller will provide strategic comms counsel and brand marketing support to Cunard, ahead of the arrival of the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2 to Shanghai, as part of the 2016 World Cruise Programme.
In 2017 a Cunard cruise from Shanghai is planned, and Burson-Marsteller will also provide PR strategy around the campaign.
"We are very excited by the arrival of Cunard in China," said Candice Yeo, market leader and managing director of Burson-Marsteller Shanghai.
"Burson-Marsteller has a strong track record in serving travel and tourism clients, including Princess Cruises and Asia Miles, looking to expand and grow in the China market."
David Rousham, Cunard’s international development director, said: "As we further our commitment to the cruise market in China and welcome more travellers on board with Cunard, we believe Burson-Marsteller will be an excellent partner moving forward."
