Current boosts influencer marketing practice with two hires

Clint Bagley has joined the firm in San Francisco, while Seth Goldberg is SVP and head of strategy in the agency's Chicago office.

CHICAGO: Current Marketing has brought on two SVPs in its influencer marketing practice: Clint Bagley and Seth Goldberg.

Bagley has joined the firm in San Francisco. He will focus on expanding the agency’s partnership with TapInfluence, a content marketing platform that helps users identify and engage social media content creators and develop, manage, aggregate, publish, distribute, and measure content.

Bagley previously worked at Federated Media, where he collaborated with leading brands on content campaigns. He worked on communications programs for Dell, Disney Interactive, Intuit, Lego, and Roku.

Goldberg joined the firm in Chicago as SVP and head of strategy after leading planning and strategy for brands such as Cox Communications, KFC, and Kmart at Foote Cone & Belding. He has also worked across advertising and digital at agencies including Digitas and Wunderman.

Goldberg will lead strategic planning for clients and chase new business opportunities, as well as collaborating closely with Bagley on brand-influencer work.

"We’re going to be tied at the hip," Bagley said.

The duo will work with more than 30 brands, finding loyalists to amplify the message collectively with the goal of building a cadre of influencers.

"Smart brands are starting to realize that. That’s the part that’s most exciting," Bagley said.

"PR is all about storytelling. I’m bringing a different perspective on how to tell that story," Goldberg said. "It’s about connecting brands with real live people."
