The panel, called the Media Task Force, is led by ICG head of corporate comms and former Metro political editor John Higginson, who joined the agency last year.

Joining him is former business editor of The Independent on Sunday, Maggie Pagano, a regular pundit on Sky News who now writes for The Independent, London Evening Standard and Financial News, where she was founding editor. She will help ICG’s clients understand how to place their financial news and mergers and acquisitions effectively.

The third member is former Daily Mail medical correspondent, Jenny Hope, who will advise ICG’s health and social care clients.

ICG managing director John Lehal said: "With corporate comms becoming an increasingly significant part of ICG’s business, this is the right time to move to the next level.

"From health to business and politics, our senior advisers in the Media Task Force provide a unique offering that will give our clients the insight they need in the challenging environments that they operate in."
