INTERNATIONAL: Jospin completes comms team for presidential push

PARIS: French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, who last month announced his candidacy for the forthcoming presidential elections, has completed his communications team.

Martine Aubry, Mayor of Lille and Jospin's former Minister of Labour and Solidarity, has been appointed to handle PR for social issues. Aubry is the daughter of Jacques Delors, the former head of the European Commission.

Also, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Jospin's former finance minister, has been picked to handle all public statements regarding economic matters.

Both Aubry and Strauss-Kahn will report to Yves Colmou, who heads the comms team. Colmou will be assisted on an informal basis by Mayor of Evry Manual Walls. Colmou reports directly to campaign manager Jean Glavany.

Euro RSCG founder, and manager of former president Francois Mitterand's 1981 campaign, Jacques Seguela will manage visuals, including the creation of a campaign logo and slogans.
