HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health insurance company, has appointed Buchan as its PR agency.
The firm was selected following a competitive pitch, and will be responsible for all comms work for HCF, as it looks to increase its market share and engage new consumers.
HCF currently insures more than 1.5 million Australians.
Gemma Hudson, Buchan’s general manager, said HCF was a great fit for the agency.
"As an agency with a focus on health communication, corporate positioning and brand building, HCF felt like a perfect match from the first meeting and we’re looking forward to bringing these core strengths together in the year ahead," she said.
Jenny Williams, HCF’s CMO, said the insurer "connected with Buchan straight away – from the initial credentials meeting and throughout the entire pitch process".
Buchan’s appointment by HCF follows a series of other recent account wins across the health and consumer markets, including e-Harmony, JAX Tyres, and JDRF.
