PRWeek Asia prepares to launch first Best Places to Work contest

Project will shine a spotlight on the greatest agencies and in-house comms places to work in APAC

PRWeek Asia’s first annual Best Places to Work 2016 will launch later this month.

The competition will crown the best boutique (seven staff or fewer), small (8-50), medium (51-400), and large (401+) agencies, plus the best in-house PR places to work in Asia-Pacific.

PRWeek Asia Head of Content Gary Scattergood said: "This is a very popular PRWeek project in the UK and US where, just like in Asia, there is a war for talent and staff retention remains a key priority.

"We have received some great feedback about our decision to launch the project in Asia, not least because it is seen as being a prestigious accolade – especially because the awards are based on the opinions of employees."

To enter, there will be a fee of US$299 (US$99 for boutique agencies).

A secure link to an online survey will then be sent which has to be filled in by members of staff (a minimum of 10 percent of APAC employees or three people for boutique agencies). Agencies need only enter once, and surveys should be filled in by employees across Asia-Pacific.

The questions will cover career development, training, mentoring, salary, benefits, working practices and reputation.

The answers will then be assessed by our judging panel of HR experts, recruitment specialists, trainers and PRWeek editors.

The winner will be announced in May and awards will be presented at our annual PR360 conference in Hong Kong on June 16.
