Since Tyler Oakley started his YouTube career in 2007, his audience has grown to almost 8 million subscribers who have generated more than half a billion views. And that’s just on one platform. Oakley’s award-winning podcast, Psychobabble, in which he tackles everything from pop culture gossip to social issues with longtime friend Korey Kuhl, frequents the top 25 chart in iTunes’ comedy category. Oakley has also written a book and made a biopic about his life.  

Oakley has leveraged his high-profile social media status to raise awareness for and volunteer with charities and causes. Of note is his work with The Trevor Project, a non-profit that runs a 24-7 helpline dedicated to reducing the suicide rate of LGBT youth. Using his sizable following and digital reach, Oakley has raised more than $1 million for the project.
