Havas SE Cake hires Simon Moore as group creative director
Havas SE Cake – the entertainment unit within the global Havas Network – has hired Simon Moore from Mischief PR as group creative director. He previously spent eight years at Cake as UK creative director, before joining Mischief as creative director in 2013. Havas SE Cake was formed out of the May 2015 merger of Cake with the UK business of Havas Sports & Entertainment.
Fleishman launches PRCA training
FleishmanHillard Fishburn is launching FUSE, the first PRCA-accredited training programme developed by a UK PR agency. UK chief executive Jim Donaldson said the agency wanted "to be the agency that both graduates and experienced professionals want to join". Francis Ingham, his counterpart at the PRCA, said quality professional development was "critical to building our value and influence as a profession and keeping the best talent in the industry".
Boxer David Haye appoints TVC for next fight
Former world heavyweight champion David Haye has appointed TVC Group to support his media relations campaign as he announces the second fight of his epic comeback. On 21 May, Haye will take on a yet to be named opponent at London's The O2 Arena.
Pagefield launches training academy
Pagefield has launched an academy offering clients training and workshops across a range of subjects including select committee training, risk management and managing an agency. The Pagefield Academy launches on 11 February and trainers include former British ambassador to the United States Sir Christopher Meyer.
Creation Pinpoint makes new hire
Will Moore, former comms director at tech PR agency Clarity, has joined healthcare specialist Creation Pinpoint. Moore spent three years at Clarity PR as head of digital and later comms director. Most recently he has been at venture capital firm Faber Ventures as head of marketing and comms.
Target Dry appoints Label PR to handle press for new clothing brand
Target Dry, the outdoor clothing shop, has hired Label PR to handle press, publicity and event management for its new lifestyle brand, Lighthouse. The agency will help drive consumers to Lighthouse’s website and the brand’s social media platforms.
