Hong Kong-based financial PR and public affairs firm Newgate Communications has hired Kim Spear and Erin Tan to boost the agency’s growing business.
Spear joins as a director, responsible for building Newgate’s corporate, digital and business development units.
Prior to joining Newgate, Spear has worked as head of corporate at Ketchum in Beijing, and in other roles over the 15 years she has been in Asia-Pacific.
Previous clients include McDonald’s, Siemens Networks, Bank of America, Western Union and Nokia.
Tan arrives at Newgate as senior consultant, having spent four years in the corporate comms team at Finsbury in Hong Kong.
Before that, Tan worked at Telstra. She will focus on deals, and corporate and internal comms.
