The Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) has appointed FleishmanHillard as its PR agency for this year’s event.
The renowned forum, from 14-16 March, brings together more than 1,000 Asian filmmakers with financiers, producers, buyers and distributors from at least 35 countries.
Fleishman’s Hong Kong office will be responsible for promoting the programme and devising comms strategy around making Hong Kong Asia’s primary market for cinema.
The agency will implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase awareness and engagement with the event, together with other targeted outreach plans.
Kitty Lee, senior vice president at Fleishman and account lead for HAF, said the firm’s strong track record in the entertainment industry was key to winning the pitch.
"We will position HAF as a pioneering and visionary programme that promotes Hong Kong as the hub of cinema in Asia," she told PRWeek Asia.
"Our offices across the region will maximise local and international media exposure by reinforcing and exemplifying the competitive advantages of HAF as an important launch platform for Asian film projects."
