New Scientist Live will run from 22 to 25 September 2016 at London's ExCeL Centre.
London agency Kaper has been hired on a project basis, following a competitive pitch, and will work with the brand’s editorial and marketing teams to develop show content, digital and social content, and PR.
The brief includes consumer brand building, driving demand for ticket sales, and b2b comms to help secure sponsors and exhibitors.
New Scientist does not currently work with any other PR agencies.
Ben Cordle, marketing director at New Scientist, said: "For four days, visitors will be able to see, hear and touch tomorrow. Chris McCafferty, founder and managing director of Kaper, added: "New Scientist is one of the most influential, forward-thinking editorial voices in the UK. Creating New Scientist Live from scratch is a unique brief, and a huge privilege for the agency."
