Hangzhou Tourism appoints McCluskey
McCluskey International has been hired by Hangzhou Tourism, the tourism body for the Chinese city, as its European PR agency. The agency's brief is to implement a PR strategy in the UK, France and Germany throughout 2016, with a focus on relationships within the travel trade. Hangzhou is the capital of China’s Zhejiang province and will host this year's G20 summit.
Threepipe wins FSA work
Following a competitive pitch, the Food Standards Agency has appointed Threepipe to help drive social reach and engagement around key consumer-facing campaigns. The first campaign will see Threepipe focus on developing content and paid strategies across Facebook and Instagram to support the #WheresTheSticker campaign, which encourages consumers to look out for the FSA’s green Food Hygiene Rating stickers. Threepipe is also supporting the FSA by taking design elements from the social media campaign and adapting them for an outdoor media campaign.
Consilium appointed by Sanofi
Consilium Strategic Communications has been appointed as corporate comms adviser to Sanofi Genzyme, the specialty care global business unit of Sanofi. The Consilium team will support Sanofi Genzyme in the UK and Ireland and be led by partners Chris Gardner and Amber Fennell.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust brings in Cow
Cow PR has been brought on board to manage a creative PR campaign for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, following a competitive pitch. It is the first time the charity has briefed a PR agency to deliver one of its campaigns. Cow will raise awareness of the work the charity undertakes, support its Life Unlimited campaign, and handle all media relations, project planning, partnerships and social campaigns.
Burger & Lobster brings in Manifest London
Burger & Lobster has hired Manifest on a three-month contract to promote its chain of restaurants, following a competitive pitch. Burger & Lobster has a total of 12 restaurants in the UK and New York. Manifest will focus on the London restaurants to increase awareness of the origins and sustainability of the food. Manifest's New York office will also help to establish the brand in the US.
Montfort supports Northill Capital acquisition
London's Northill Capital is working with Montfort Communications around its acquisition of Capital Four, an asset management business based in Copenhagen. The deal, which saw Northill take a 60 per cent stake in Capital Four, was announced on Monday. Combined assets under management in which Northill owns a majority interest total approximately $30bn (£21bn).
The Romans hires Tom Winterton from Citizen
The Romans has hired Tom Winterton from Citizen as associate director. Winterton has been at Citizen Relations for the past three years as a senior account director, where he worked across the Sony and Bacardi global accounts. He previously worked at Shine, and was one of PRWeek's 30 Under 30 for 2013.
Four wins Homestay.com
Four Communications has been appointed to handle UK PR for Homestay.com, an online marketplace for hosted accommodation. Work begins this week with the key focus being increasing Homestay’s share of voice, raising awareness of the Homestay.com brand, driving traffic to the site and increasing bookings.
