Kraft Heinz Company hands UK consumer PR account to Golin

The Kraft Heinz Company has appointed Golin to handle consumer PR for all of its UK brands, following a competitive pitch.

A review of the company's consumer PR roster was carried out last month by Nigel Dickie, director of corporate and government affairs.

Cohn & Wolfe and Speed Communications previously worked on the account. Cohn & Wolfe has worked on the account since 2009 and declined to repitch. 

Golin will handle all consumer PR for Heinz Tomato Ketchup and Sauces, Soups and Beans, and Baby Food.

Dickie said: "Golin demonstrated excellent consumer understanding and insight, which it was able to turn into very strong creative directions. We are excited about working with Golin and we are sure that it will be able to add significantly to our business, at a time when our brand shares are growing and our brand franchise is strengthening."

Heinz merged with Kraft last year, creating one of the world's largest food and drink companies, with well-known brands such as Capri-Sun and Philadelphia.
