Luisa Fernandez, formerly of BA, and Will Nicholls, formerly of Saatchi & Saatchi, will take up the newly created roles of managing partner, sponsorship and talent, and managing partner, advertising, respectively.
At BA, Fernandez was global sponsorship and events manager, where she wrote the airline's sponsorship strategy, brokered all of its sponsorship deals and delivered the 2012 Olympic Games, the British & Irish Lions Tour, England Rugby, The FA, London Fashion Week and The Baftas.
In her new role she will focus on working with Lawrence Dallaglio, co-founder of BBH Sport, to grow the sponsorship and talent side of the business.
Nicholls joins from Saatchi & Saatchi where he was managing partner and head of account management. At BBH Sport he will look after all of the agency's clients. He spent eight years at the agency, from 2000 to 2008, where he worked on the Vodafone and Axe accounts.
He has also worked in-house at Nokia, in global sponsorship and entertainment.
BBH Sport launched in January 2014 and is headed up by Ewan Paterson and former rugby international Dallaglio – who spoke to PRWeek ahead of last autumn's Rugby World Cup, a major client of the firm.
