Hong Kong PR firm Artemis Associates has appointed Naomi Butson, former chief of staff to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, as vice president.

Butson moved to Hong Kong in 2014 and worked as events manager at Ironmonger Events. The firm handled some of Hong Kong’s most prominent events, including the Hong Kong Sevens rugby festival and the Help for Heroes charity gala.

Prior to this, Butson spent three years as chief of staff to the household of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, in charge of their public schedules.

Among many other things, she oversaw Prince Harry’s tour of the US, his and the Duke and Duchess’s involvement in the London 2012 Olympic Games, and events supporting the Queen’s diamond jubilee.

Before that, Butson worked for News Corp at Fox Interactive Media for three years.

In her new role at Artemis, Butson will focus on PR strategy for the agency’s ultra-high-net-worth individuals, as well as issues management and major client events.

Diana Footitt, Artemis CEO, said: "We are thrilled that Naomi will be joining us. Her experience of handling large scale events and high profile issues will be invaluable to Artemis clients."
