The agency will use data and behavioural modelling to help brands and organisations develop social media strategies.
OneFifty has launched with a client roster roster including O2 and Virgin Active, after Buckett and Pearmain left Brands2Life last year leading to discussions with several potential backers.
Pearmain said: "Our ambition is to work with amazing people who want to be architects of what comes next – clients, colleagues and creators of social and digital experiences. This isn’t going to be achieved by what has gone before, but through a different way of doing business. This comes from both what we do and how we do it: creating an environment in which to perfect the right skills and approaches, and offering both to consult and provide data products, to drive more informed decisions."
OneFifty is backed by consumer brand agency Hope&Glory PR, but the two agencies will remain independent.
Buckett said: "The backing we have secured from Hope&Glory gives us a great start. It means that we can have the approach and intensity of a start-up, but with the resources and ability to recruit of a consultancy two years into its development. The way we have structured the partnership means that we can remain independent in culture, team, clients and approach."
Pearmain was previously managing director of Brands2Life's digital and social media division. Prior to this he was head of PR and social media at O2 and before this headed up digital at Fishburn.
Buckett spent ten years at Brands2Life as practice director for digital marketing, running global campaigns for clients including Nikon, Sony, LinkedIn and MoneySupermarket. She previously worked in-house at Vauxhall Motors.
