It follows a competitive pitch, with six agencies involved in the first chemistry stage and three at the final stage. Skipton has not had a retained corporate comms agency before, although it has worked with a number of PR firms in the past.
Established in 1853, Skipton has more than 820,000 members and oversees assets worth £17bn. It operates 95 branches.
