Hope&Glory was appointed as the retained consumer agency for Virgin Trains' West Coast line last year. The agency also works on a project basis for the East Coast line.
In the summer, the agency asked children to come up with designs for a Christmas train in a partnership with the Book Trust and children’s author and illustrator, Jill Murphy. Last week, Hope&Glory unveiled the two winning designs at a special event at King's Cross Station.
A Pendolino train from the West Coast route travelled across north London so that both of the festive locomotives could be shown off together. The trains will be running for six weeks.
One week into the campaign, there have been around 6,400 tweets about the Virgin Christmas trains, which have reached 13 million people, according to Hope&Glory. This fulfils the brief of getting people talking about the company at Christmas on social channels.
