James Holmes becomes Limelight MD

James Holmes has been appointed as managing director of b2b agency Limelight. Holmes returns to London from the Middle East, where he set up the agency's Dubai office in 2010. Holmes' promotion follows Susanna Simpson, who founded the agency in 2003, taking up the position of CEO.

Tesco exec Katherine Edwards joins BritainThinks

Insight and strategic advice consultancy BritainThinks has appointed Katherine Edwards as director of stakeholder engagement, a newly created role. She joined this month from Tesco, where she was group commercial corporate affairs director, having previously held other roles including property comms director and leading the firm's EU and UK government affairs.

Publitek taken on by TT Electronics

Global engineered electronics firm TT Electronics has taken on Publitek. The Bath-based PR agency will handle worldwide media relations for the firm.

Tin Man taken on by Zeek

The agency Tin Man has been taken on by retail voucher and gift card marketplace Zeek. Tin Man will run an initial Christmas project for the client with the option to continue on an ongoing basis, having won the brief in a competitive pitch. According to Zeek, half of UK gift cards never get used.

Anita Turland joins Kleinwort Benson

Anita Turland has joined private bank Kleinwort Benson as head of PR and internal comms. She joined on 1 September, having previously worked as a freelancer for clients including Coutts.

Social Communications wins architects brief

Manchester's Social Communications has been appointed by national architecture firm WCEC Group to handle its PR and corporate comms following a two-stage selection process involving three agencies. The agency will support WCEC's growth plan in new regions and promote existing key projects. 

Cheshire County Show appoints Bella

Bella Design & Marketing has been appointed as PR and Marketing partner for the 2016 Cheshire County Show. This follow's Bella's previous work redesigning and relaunching the show's website. The two-day June event attracts more than 80,000 visitors annually.
