Philips in Singapore has appointed Winston Phua as its new head of brand, communications and digital for ASEAN and Pacific.
He replaces Damien Cummings, who joined Standard Chartered in May.
With more than 18 years’ experience in the communications industry, Phua has spent a decade leading global, regional and country roles across different Philips business sectors.
He was most recently vice president and head of marketing for Philips Consumer Lifestyle in Shanghai, handling marketing and digital strategy. He also led the domestic appliances and coffee businesses in Greater China.
Before joining Philips, Phua held roles at Procter & Gamble, Apple and MTV in various cities, including Hong Kong and Bangkok.
In his new role, Phua will be responsible for digital marketing, comms and brand positioning for all of Philips’ businesses across 10 countries in APAC.
Fabian Wong, CEO of Philips ASEAN and Pacific, said: "Winston has a proven track record in delivering strong marketing results and strategies.
"With his regional experience, I am confident that he will further build the Philips brand and inspire our stakeholders with the Philips refreshed brand identity ‘innovation and you’ – which reflects Philips’ mission to improve people’s lives through meaningful innovations."
