PulsePoint puts Grant Toups in the driver's seat

LOS ANGELES: PulsePoint Group has promoted Grant Toups to managing partner, giving him responsibility for overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations.

The consultancy’s founders, Bob Feldman and Jeff Hunt, will stay on-board as founding partners, continuing to work with clients and focusing on growing the business. Feldman and Hunt worked together at Burson-Marsteller and were each CEO of GCI Group before launching PulsePoint in 2009.

In 2013, the shop became part of Olson, which in turn was bought by ICF a year later. Its focus is on digital communications, organizational design, and crisis management with 35 staffers and offices in Los Angles and Austin, Texas.

Feldman said Toups will continue to work with clients, despite taking on more responsibilities.

"The best leaders at the best professional services firms are active practitioners," he explained. "He will remain actively engaged with clients."

Toups will continue to be based in Los Angeles. He was most recently a principal at the firm since 2007, and has worked with clients including Disney, Novartis, and Toyota.
