LOS ANGELES: Molly Mulloy, former GM of MWW’s San Francisco office and US technology practice leader, has joined Crafted Communications as partner and MD of the firm’s new technology practice.
Mulloy noted that technology "touches everything, from food to cars" and is a growth area for the agency.
The firm’s technology group will be "primarily focused on core PR," including media outreach, analyst and influencer relations, and crisis and corporate services, Mulloy said. She added that given today’s savvy customer, "having that third-party endorsement is more meaningful."
Mulloy added that she’s excited about Crafted’s flexible set up, and said companies giving employees a better work-life balance will help them hire high-caliber staff.
MWW hired Mulloy as EVP and GM of its San Francisco office in April 2014. Previously she was an EVP in the Los Angeles office of Zeno Group, director of Edelman’s technology and digital marketing practice in Hong Kong, and VP at Zeno in San Francisco. Mulloy has also worked as global PR manager at Texas Instruments.
MWW named Alison Schwartz as SVP and GM of its San Francisco office earlier this month.
Fellow Zeno veterans Lisa Robinson and Jessica Vitale launched Crafted in February, with Nature’s Path and Litehouse Foods as clients. Previously, Robinson was Zeno’s MD and chief creative officer, while Vitale was a VP at the agency.
