Gavin Haycock made comms chief at Paysafe

Gavin Haycock (pictured) has joined online payment support firm Paysafe in the newly created role of senior vice-president, corporate comms. Haycock was previously in a similar role at mobile tech business Monitise, which he joined in 2010. London-based Haycock began his role on 2 November. Paysafe recently rebranded from Optimal Payments.

Powerscourt appoints Conal Walsh as partner

Powerscourt has promoted special situations head Conal Walsh to partner as it expands its contentious issues practice. He is the agency's third partner, joining founder Rory Godson and managing partner Victoria Palmer-Moore. Former Guardian journalist Walsh moved to Powerscourt in 2009.

Kaper promotes Nicola Dodd

Integrated agency Kaper has promoted Nicola Dodd from director to deputy managing director. Dodd has been at the agency a year, following seven years at Cancer Research UK where she rose to become head of PR and social media.

US people moves

As reported by PRWeek US, MSLGroup has brought in Julie Jack, previously a senior director in APCO Worldwide's New York office, as senior vice-president in its New York corporate practice. Separately, Southwest Airlines comms leader Ginger Hardage will retire at the end of this year after a 25-year career at the company.

Dransfield appointed for new hotel

Roland Dransfield PR has been appointed by INNSIDE Manchester to raise the profile of the German hotel, which opened at First Street in May this year, following a competitive pitch. Manchester was chosen as the first UK city for the INNSIDE and will be followed in 2017 by other hotel openings in Birmingham and Glasgow, and in New York in 2016.

P1 Communications wins Austrian ski business

P1 Communications has been taken on by Kristall Spaces, a British developer of ski properties in Austria, to lead its comms campaign. Heading up the account will be P1 managing director Vicky Goodall, assisted by account manager André Kappelhoff who together will focus on UK, Irish, German and Swiss media.
