UK's Steven Spurr to head Edelman Australia
Edelman Australia has announced that Steven Spurr (pictured), COO of the firm's UK and Ireland operations, will become CEO in Australia effective 1 March next year. Spurr has spent 17 years at the company across its New York, London and Sydney offices. Eloqui founder Chris Genasi named new Grayling Kenya MD
Chris Genasi, formerly CEO and founder of Eloqui Public Relations, has been hired as MD of Grayling’s East Africa hub in Kenya. Grayling Kenya launched in April 2015 and is seen by the agency as a springboard for its development into East Africa. Genasi previously held senior international positions in Weber Shandwick and is a former CIPR president.
Electronics firm hires Radiator for automotive brief
Pioneer, the audio electronics firm, has appointed Radiator Communications to handle PR and social media for its car entertainment products following a competitive pitch. The PR brief will initially focus on Pioneer’s pre-Christmas product ranges.
Broker Profile rebrands following acquisition
Investor engagement adviser Broker Profile has rebranded as Capital Access Group. The firm was acquired by a newly formed holding company in July, with Porta Communications taking a major stake. Chief executive Richard Feigen said the firm would be widening its service offering.
Bulletproof Coffee hires EdenCancan for UK launch
US-based coffee brand Bulletproof Coffee has hired PR agency EdenCancan to handle its UK launch. Bulletproof Coffee is said to use ‘upgraded’ black coffee beans that are blended with grass-fed butter and so-called 'brain octane oil' to increase alertness. It was founded in 2009 Silicon Valley investor and tech entrepreneur Dave Asprey and has received some high-profile publicity in the US.
