McLaren Automotive takes on comms managers
British supercar maker McLaren Automotive has appointed Duncan Forrester and Freddie Gilbey to its comms team, creating a corporate and lifestyle comms function. Global corporate comms manager Forrester has worked in-house for Volvo and BMW and most recently for marketing agency Into the Blue. Lifestyle and internal comms officer Gilbey joins from Nicholas Oakwell Couture, a British couture house where she was global comms manager. Both arrived on Monday.
Bell Pottinger wins Middle East property firm
Bell Pottinger Middle East has been appointed by Abu Dhabi’s Aldar Properties on a corporate, financial and consumer retainer, following a lengthy competitive pitch process. Aldar, Abu Dhabi's largest real estate company, has a market capitalisation of £3.5bn. The account is being led by Archie Berens, managing director of the Middle East office.
Cray hires The Whiteoaks Consultancy to support EMEA expansion
Global supercomputing firm Cray has selected The Whiteoaks Consultancy to deliver a wide-ranging PR campaign promoting the company in the UK market as part of a wider pan-European strategy. The agency was chosen following the success of an initial project supporting the opening of Cray’s new EMEA headquarters in Bristol earlier this year.
Llorente & Cuenca acquires Madrid agency
Iberian and Latin American comms and public affairs firm Llorente & Cuenca has acquired a 70 per cent stake in Impossible Tellers, a Madrid comms and brand strategy agency. Impossible Tellers has a team of eight and expects to close the year with turnover of around €600,000 (£423,000).
Brackendale teams with web design firm
PR agency Brackendale Consulting has partnered with Dutch web specialist Depositado to provide a professional web service for firms within the private equity industry, creating a joint venture between the two firms.
