Pearmain has been managing director of Brands2Life's digital and social media division since 2012. Prior to this he was head of PR and social media at O2 and before this headed up digital at Fishburn.
Buckett has spent the past ten years at Brands2Life as practice director for digital marketing, running global campaigns for clients including Nikon, Sony, LinkedIn and MoneySupermarket. She previously worked in-house at Vauxhall Motors.
The duo are currently in talks with potential investors, including consumer PR agency Hope&Glory.
Pearmain said: "Katie and I are excited to be working together on a new venture, and we'll share more details before too long."
James Gordon-MacIntosh, managing partner at Hope&Glory, said: "There have been talks between ourselves and Alex and Katie about Hope&Glory investing in their new consultancy. At this point, those are just talks and nothing has been signed, but it’s fair to say we think there’s huge potential in what they’re planning so we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to find a way to work together."
Giles Fraser, co-founder of Brands2Life, added: "We understand that Alex and Katie are planning a new digital venture that doesn’t compete with Brands2Life and they have left with our best wishes. Our digital team is having its best year yet and, with our integrated comms approach, we’re confident it will go from strength to strength in 2016."
