Chipotle has closed 43 restaurants in Washington State and Oregon due to an E. Coli outbreak that has affected 22 people since mid-October. Health officials are expecting a spike in the number of cases reported.

Airline industry responds to Sinai crash
The aviation industry and a handful of governments have responded to the crash of an Airbus A321-200, operated by Russian company Metrojet. Airline officials said Monday that the crash could only have been caused by "external impact" amid some early claims of terrorism.

The Kansas City Royals outclassed the New York Mets on Sunday night in game five of the World Series to win their first championship in 30 years. Royals fans took over Twitter on Sunday night and early Monday with the #TookTheCrown hashtag.
SXSW’s about face on online harassment
South by Southwest Interactive apologized on Friday for canceling sessions on online harassment due to threats of violence and said it will hold a one-day seminar on the topic at the festival. Media outlets including BuzzFeed had threatened to pull out of the conference.
