Autovolo appoints Frank PR to launch £5m marketing campaign
Autovolo, a new online automotive marketplace, has hired Frank PR to launch the brand as a challenger to Auto Trader and eBay Motors. Frank won the retained account following a competitive pitch. Over the next 12 months Autovolo is investing £5m into a marketing strategy as it plans to become a leading car sales platform in the UK.
Drew Clode leaves social services body after 30 years
Drew Clode, the policy and press adviser to the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, has left 30 years after first joining the organisation. Clode initially joined what was then a weekly news magazine, Social Services Insight, in October 1985. After this closed in 1990, he spent a year on another mag before returning in his current role in 1991. He departs on 31 December but did not specify what he would be doing from January onwards.
Perception wins Croke Park contract
The Cheshire agency Perception Sales & Marketing has won a contract to promote newly relaunched Dublin events venue Croke Park Meetings & Events, following a competitive pitch. The contract began early last month and is said by the agency to be a "long-term" brief.
Belarus celebrates PR Day
Belarus' Institute of Public Relations celebrated its third annual PR Day yesterday. It was first celebrated in 2013 when the government recognised public relations as a profession in its own right. Events included a discussion on the future of Belarusian PR and university seminars.
