Malaysia’s Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has appointed local firm Rantau PR as its agency of record for 2015-2016.
The move follows Rantau’s work on several previous campaigns for BSN, and the firm will now focus on strategy for the bank’s rebranding project.
Gogulan Dorairajoo, CEO of Rantau PR said, "People are at the heart of everything we do and we have always been a strong consumer-driven agency. BSN’s strategy to increase engagement with consumers and the general public aligns well with Rantau PR’s capabilities.
"We are being challenged to engage people in conversation about money and their financial future without making it daunting and unintelligible. The BSN team have been very open to embracing new ideas in their past campaigns and we are excited to redefine how they communicate with today’s connected public."
Puspa Marina Dato’ Haji Omar, BSN’s senior vice president and head of strategic communications, said: "Rantau PR has proven itself a supportive partner in our campaigns, so we look forward to having them play a larger role in our communications strategy, which at the moment is focussed on creating awareness on the impact of our rebranding."
