In a newly released survey, almost half of senior marketing executives asked by The PR Council said that brand newsrooms were an overhyped real-time marketing strategy. The survey of 56 execs was conducted in September.
Real-time marketing, specifically the concept of a brand newsroom, was ranked the most or second most overhyped marketing channel by nearly half of the respondents, followed by native advertising, and social media and social business.
