Ford hires Thirteen for corporate partnerships brief

Ford Motor Company has hired Thirteen Communications to secure B2B partnerships for its new GoDrive car-sharing smartphone app, which was recently launched in London. The initiative is part of Ford’s Smart Mobility plan to develop solutions for modern transportation challenges. Thirteen was handed the work after approaching Ford and advising it on a B2B strategy.

Centre:mk appoints Rain

Rain Communications has been appointed to a 12-month contract to run a fashion-focused PR programme for Centre:mk, the retail centre in Milton Keynes. Following a competitive pitch, the agency has been tasked with creating an overall brand campaign for the year beginning 1 November, and will work alongside Centre:mk's corporate PR agency Aver.

Jenny Halpern Prince's charity given PM award

A charity set up by Halpern PR CEO and founder Jenny Halpern Prince has been given an award by Prime Minister David Cameron. Jenny Halpern Prince – who is also involved in the pro-EU In Campaign – set up Access Ambition in 2012, and it has since helped more than 800 less advantage state school students into work experience placements.

Halpern and fellow co-chair, the beauty entrepreneur David Meller, were two of 15 people named Points of Light winners this month by the PM. A total of 367 award winners have been announced since Cameron launched the awards in April 2014.

Callcredit awards consumer PR brief to Kindred

Credit reference agency Callcredit has appointed Kindred to the consumer media brief for credit report and credit score service Noddle. The initial six-month contract, awarded after a competitive pitch, kicked off last month.

Jamie Robertson joins The Communication Group

Jamie Robertson has joined The Communication Group as a group board director. He arrived earlier this week following eight years working across the energy and environment, infrastructure, industrial, real estate and financial sectors with FTI Consulting.

Rich Leigh to launch Wonderush

Online, subscription-based lifestyle and experience service Wonderush has appointed Rich Leigh & Company to drive consumer PR for its launch. The initial 12-month contract was awarded following an introduction by a mutual contact of client and agency. Wonderush is currently only available in London at present, but hopes to expand.
