Founded in 2013, Battenhall is a new agency with vision, energy and ambition and with social media at its heart. Battenhall realised that most in-house or agency teams were struggling to cope with the speed at which technology was evolving, so there was a gap in the market for an agency with ‘deep social media roots’.
It also aims to be an agency whose services can work across all comms disciplines from PR to advertising – priding itself on ‘eating other industries’ lunch’ by moving into design, product development and online ad spend.
Within three years, the company is turning over £2m a year. It has created a progressive working culture designed to foster innovation with bold initiatives such as unlimited holiday, flexitime and remote working; unlimited Moleskines and a personal tech budget of £1,200 for every employee.
As a result, not one employee has left the agency in three years. Its staff of 28 includes eight videographers, designers and developers, and among innovations impressing the judges were tools and apps developed in-house, and its pioneering use of WhatsApp.
A passionate, energetic and dynamic presentation. Highly innovative approach to PR. Strong people culture
