The Splash Partnership wins Bidvest Foodservice

Bidvest Foodservice – previously known as Bidvest 3663 until its rebrand in July – has retained The Splash Partnership as its PR agency following a competitive five-way pitch. The account was previously held by Pelican. Wholesale distributer Bidvest Foodservice has nearly 4,500 staff and delivers 100 million cases of food annually.

Good Relations gets on board for c2c project

London to Essex train operating company c2c has appointed Good Relations following a three-way competitive pitch. The agency’s brief is to begin a campaign in November to build awareness and drive understanding of a new timetable, to be launched in December.

Huntsworth names new chief financial officer

Huntsworth has appointed Neil Jones, currently chief financial officer at FTSE-listed exhibitions group ITE, to the same role at the Grayling, Red, Citigate and Huntsworth Health owner. He joins on 1 February 2016, with interim finance director Brian Porritt continuing in that role until then. Speaking to PRWeek this month, Huntsworth CEO Paul Taaffe discussed plans to turn around the troubled company amid falling profits, multimillion-pound impairment charges and the departure of senior figures.

Crown Estate promotes corporate affairs chief Judith Everett

The Crown Estate has promoted director of corporate affairs Judith Everett to chief operating officer as part of an executive restructure. From 1 April 2016, she will be on the four-strong executive committee, which includes CEO Alison Nimmo. Everett joined The Crown Estate in 2013 from AstraZeneca, where she was on the global corporate affairs leadership team.

Public affairs consultancy launches devolution division

Connect Communications has launched Devo Connect, a month ahead of the Spending Review and Autumn Statement, which is expected to signal a step change in moves towards devolution across England including the 'Northern Powerhouse'. The new division is led by executive chairman Gill Morris.
